SABC 1’s upcoming documentary, Black Lives Matter, pays special attention to the South African experience of racial inequality, which forms part of the highly publicised global movement.
SABC 1 has announced its upcoming documentary, Black Lives Matter, which is set to premiere on Monday, 26 October 2020, at 21:00. The documentary is expected to explore the mineral wealth in South Africa, which is said to have been granted to a select group of international traders, despite it rightfully belonging to the citizens of the country. Foreign capitalists will be exposed for allegedly exploiting Black South Africans for the enrichment of the elite.
The title, Black Lives Matter, refers to the global movement that aims to shed light on the racial inequality experienced by the Black community in various countries. With a special focus on South Africa, the documentary will look at the little progress the country has made since the end of apartheid, as well as how the current generation continues to suffer the consequences of the past.
